Lancashire Chamber Orchestra are delighted to welcome Kevin Flynn, sub-principle first violin in the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, to direct and perform in Schubert’s beautiful Rondo in A Major accompanied by the string section of the orchestra in our inaugural concert at St Laurence’s Church, Chorley PR7 1EB
Our concert opens with “Andante Festivo” by Sibelius and then we will perform the beautiful lamentation which is “Threnody” from John Ireland’s Concertino Pastorale. We will finish with Tchaikovsky’s “Chanson Triste” and the very exciting “Finale” from his Serenade for Strings. Mr Robert Chasey takes the baton again and we are very much looking forwards to performing in our new Lancashire venue!
As usual, there will be a delicious selection of cakes to enjoy with your tea or coffee at the interval.
Tickets will be available on the door at the church.
