Our 2022-23 season got off to a successful start on Sunday 30th October, with performances of Dvorak’s sublime Serenade for Wind Instruments and Mendelssohn’s evocative Symphony No.3, the “Scottish”. We thanked Anne Heaton for having led the orchestra for twenty years, and we are delighted that she will continue to play with us in the first violins. We received some excellent feedback from our loyal supporters in the audience:
“Many congratulations to all in today’s excellent concert. A very fine one indeed and a challenging programme for all sections. A very great pleasure to hear LCO playing so well. Much looking forward to the next one!” (David Fuller)
